Program Information

The Plano ISD TONI&GUY Cosmetology Program is a two-year program located at the exclusive Plano ISD TONI&GUY Academy, currently housed at Academy High School. Interested 11th grade students are selected by lottery to enroll in in the program. Students will participate in 1,000 clock hours of theory, technical instruction, and practical operations, working toward the goal of earning a Texas Cosmetology License upon graduation.

Beginning Fall 2026, the TONI&GUY Cosmetology Program will be housed at the Plano ISD CTE Center. 

Program Cost

Tuition for students entering the Plano ISD TONI&GUY Cosmetology Program is paid by Plano ISD.

Students are required to purchase their own professional cosmetology kit through TONI&GUY. This kit will be used through out the program. It includes all the required technical kit items, media kit items, digital materials, and textbooks for the program. The kit costs approximately $1,750+tax. 

Daily Schedule

Two cohorts are offered, a morning cohort and an afternoon cohort. Students attend class on their home senior high campus for half of the day and travel to the Plano ISD TONI&GUY Academy facility housed at Academy High School to complete cosmetology coursework for half of the day. All TONI&GUY students are required to begin their day at 8:00AM for 0 hour.
