Internship Opportunities
Opening in Fall 2026, the new Plano ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center will provide students with innovative, industry-aligned learning experiences designed to prepare them for college, careers and beyond. Through the Practicum in Entrepreneurship course students will gain real-world experience during the school day in authentic business environments, such as the CUTX SMART Branch and the Plano ISD District Store. These student internship positions, offering meaningful, resume-building experience as part of course instruction, will be built into the student's school day schedule. We are seeking motivated students to become part of the inaugural student team launching this exciting new chapter for Plano ISD.
SMART Branch by Credit Union of Texas
SMART Branch gives students real-world experience in a fully operational, student-run banking branch located on campus. Working alongside experienced professionals, students gain hands-on exposure to financial services while building career-ready skills.
In This Position, Students Will
- Assist with daily banking operations
- Engage with community members in a professional setting
- Learn from banking professionals through mentorship
- Develop customer service and communication skills
- Promote financial literacy across the campus and district
Plano ISD District Store
The Plano ISD District Store allows students in the Practicum in Entrepreneurship course to operate a live retail business at the CTE Center. Students apply classroom learning in a real-world environment—from product creation, to sales and store leadership.
In This Position, Students Will
- Create and sell original products and spirit wear
- Develop and apply marketing strategies
- Manage store operations, inventory, and finances
